I am delighted to introduce some new compatriots today. I had the good fortune of figuring out how to link to other people's blogs. And learned a new word. Blogroll! It's like toilet papering someone's house, except more good natured. Anyway, it's a good thing. Now I can vibe with the other thoughtful dudettes out there in the blogosphere.

To throw out another open-ended question:
What are you guys' biggest priorities policy-wise? What's the number one issue for you in the election?

For me, it was foreign policy and Iraq, hands down. The more time goes on, though, the more everything else starts to appear to be in disarray as well. It's unnerving.

Thought it might be helpful to add a quick bio. As mentioned, I created this blog to start a conversation that aims to include everyone. I've been active in Obama's campaign, but I feel that I'm in a unique position because I began as a strong Clinton supporter (I cut my teeth in New York state politics, so it's no surprise that I feel what I feel for Hillary), have an enormous sense of pride for her as a woman, and can relate to the let-down that so many are feeling.

So, about you: How did you start getting interested this election? What was it that really clinched it for you, when you decided on your candidate? Do tell.

Hi everyone.

I created this blog in the hopes of getting a dialogue going between two political groups who have been feeling a bit of tension over the last couple of weeks and months - that is, the Hillary people and the Obama people. I want to note upfront that this blog isn't created with the intent of talking anyone into coming over to the Obama side, the McCain side, or any other side. I feel that that would be opportunistic right now, and this blog is about giving people a safe place to voice their concerns, rage, priorities, sadness and everything else. I know emotions are running high right now, people are grieving, and feeling a lot of resentment about what's gone down lately.

One of the things I noted in one of Hillary's speeches, was her reference to all of the people who had made to feel invisible, whom she felt an obligation to represent. I think it's so important for everyone to feel they have a voice, and a place in the political process, so this blog is mainly to hear from you. I'd like to create a place to get a wider sense of your needs and your priorities in this election.
